Responsibilities include monitoring server performance, performing tuning and troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of applications. Ideal candidates should have hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server, performance analysis, and issue resolution in enterprise setups.
Administration and Configuration: WebSphere/ Tomcat/ Jboss
Install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere/ Jboss/ Tomcat Application Server (WAS) environments.
Manage deployment and configuration tasks, including clustering, load balancing, and performance tuning.
Implement and manage security policies, user access controls, and SSL certificates within WebSphere environments.
Monitoring and Performance:
Monitor WebSphere servers and applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Perform performance tuning and optimization of
WebSphere environments. Analyze and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide Level 2 support for WebSphere-related issues, including incident resolution and problem management.
Troubleshoot and resolve application server issues, including application deployments, JVM tuning, and connectivity problems.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to diagnose and fix application issues.
Backup and Recovery:
Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures for WebSphere environments.
Conduct regular disaster recovery tests and ensure data integrity and availability.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of WebSphere configurations, procedures, and changes.
Prepare reports on system performance, availability, and incidents.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with WebSphere updates, patches, and new releases.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
